I work as a Sr. Project Specialist.  I do design work on current and future project that include highway relocation for county and state projects.  This includes the design of all aerial and buried fiber and copper facilities that will be impacted by new highway improvements.  I also do design for new fiber projects that include fiber to cell sites.  I do complete design from creating new drawings for construction and record purposes to pricing the job for materials to be ordered.  I prepare all necessary paperwork and circuit design (if required) to complete the job.  I also do all changes or revisions to jobs if they are required.

I installed High-speed Internet, Cable TV and Telephone into residential homes and light commercial areas.  This includes initial hook ups, wiring homes and installing equipment like modems, wireless routers and digital and HD Boxes.

I worked as an OSP Facility Design Specialist.  I designed distribution and feeder facilities to meet service demands.  I also designed fiber and carrier systems for deployment for network upgrades, repairs and for new developments and/or new technologies, this also includes the design of VRAD’s for future advanced TV products. I prepared the necessary paperwork needed for routine jobs and project approvals.  I prepared all paperwork and detail drawings needed for required permits.  I worked in the field to take all measurements and verify field conditions to make sure cable facilities and cabinets could be placed.  I worked with contractors, developers and other agencies to ensure facilities are placed as designed and agreed upon.  I worked with construction forces and other departments to ensure projects are built as close to service intervals as possible.  I designed detail drawings of facilities for construction use and record purposes.  I have monitored a specific area for proper timing of facility relief.  I interface with customers to discuss service intervals and possible delays of facility placement and/or delays on orders.  I also trained new contract engineers in the design of fiber and copper facilities.  I also trained them to read and understand all construction drawings, and use the necessary computer programs needed to complete a job.

I worked as a field engineer.  I answer service orders and issue job so construction can work the order.  I also take field notes and design the cable and terminal facilities that are required for new subdivisions and businesses that will require service.  I also coordinate with construction forces and customers.  I am a team player and can work well with other engineers and managers to give customers the best service possible.  I am knowledgeable with most BellSouth software that will need to be utilized such as BST Cad, SC Fac, NC IMS, OSPCM, Map viewer, and Ofie.
